To us, it is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the tomb after his crucifixion. We are grateful that He died for our sins, it gives us hope every day.
We love spending time together as a family, even though we are a small family now, living in Hermanus, far away from our extended family.
I remember growing up we celebrated Easter as a very significant and special time.
Having a daughter means I get to put up some Easter Decorations with her and starting our own little traditions.

One of these traditions is to colour hardboiled eggs with natural dyes, decorating it with bunny ears, tiny little flower wreaths, some just for the fun of it, others to use as table decorations

A prayer for Easter Sunday
Lord God,
You loved this world so much,
That you gave your one and only Son,
That we might be called your children too.
Lord, help us to live in the gladness and grace
of Easter Sunday, everyday.
Let us have hearts of thankfulness
For your sacrifice.
Let us have eyes that look upon
Your grace and rejoice in our salvation.
Help us to walk in that mighty grace
And tell your good news to the world.
All for your glory do we pray, Lord,
Amen
– Rachel Marie Stone-
Easter is a wonderful opportunity for us as parents to teach our children the deeper meaning of the season.

We will be going to Church on Friday and Sunday

On Friday we will have our own little Easter Egg Hunt in our garden, handing out Easter eggs at the old aged home on Saturday and on Sunday we will visit a lovely wine farm for Easter Lunch with friends.

We wish you a peaceful and happy Easter celebration!

What are your family Easter traditions?
